The Developers

Joel Morine is a certified teacher with several years of experience co-teaching, teaching, and substituting in classrooms in primary-grade urban settings in California, as well as participating in organized recreational and sports programs in Virginia. He has worked with students of varying abilities from a variety of backgrounds who are just learning to speak English. His experience confirms what research affirms, that young children's skills develop much more rapidly when parents or older siblings participate in their learning.

Greta Morine-Dershimer is an active consultant in development of the LearnerTools products. She has 45 years of experience as a teacher and teacher educator, having taught in elementary classrooms in New York and California, including in special programs for gifted students. She directed innovative teacher education programs in New York, California, and Virginia. Currently retired as an Emeritus Professor from the University of Virginia, she is internationally known for her research on teacher and pupil thinking and learning.


The Publisher

Leila Joiner is an editor, book designer and independent publisher living in Tucson, Arizona. She started Imago Press, which publishes illustrated fiction and non-fiction, in 2001. Prior to that, she was Senior Editor for Scrivenery Press, a literary publisher in Houston, Texas.


The Illustrator

Dana Clark studied illustration at the University of Arizona where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in illustration and visual communication. Now relocated in Denver, Colorado with his lovely wife, he has sold many of his pieces and recently completed the illustrations for Letters @ Work, Volumes 1 and 2.
